Dhar (Madhya Pradesh): The special court (under POCSO Act) of judge Pankaj Maheshwari sentenced rape accused Lokesh Malviya, 25, to 20-year rigorous imprisonment after he was found guilty under Sections 376, 342, 323, 506 of Indian Penal Code and 3/4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
Special district public prosecution officer Aarti Agrawal leading the prosecution informed that the victim on January 3, 2019, lodged her verbal complaint at Sagore police station. In her complaint, she claimed that on December 28, 2018, she got a call from Lokesh on her mobile phone.
The accused Lokesh threatened her on mobile to come to his room. When she went the accused outraged her modesty at knifepoint and later threatened her with dire consequences for her parents if she told about the incident to anyone.
But after some days of living in fear, the victim gathered courage and shared her ordeal with her parents, who subsequently rushed to the Sagore police station and lodged a complaint.
Based on her statement, the police registered a case against Lokesh under relevant sections of the Indian Penal code
