Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Dawoodi Bohra community of Indore is set to observe Muharram with deep religious devotion as the Hijri New Year 1448 begins on Monday.

The nine-day Ashara Mubarak Waaz (religious sermons) will be held from Muharram 2 (June 16) to Muharram 10 (June 24) at community mosques and centres across the city.

His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin will deliver the Ashara Mubarak Waaz from London this year.

Waaz preachers at various locations include Janab Idris Bhai Noor Bhai at Babaji Nagar, Janab Yusuf Bhaisahab Burhani at Masakin Saifiya, Janab Mufaddal Bhaisahab Nomani at Noorani Nagar, Sheikh Murtaza Ambawala at Bohra Bakhal, Sheikh Mansoor Bhai Rangoonwala at Siyaganj, Sheikh Ali Asghar Bhai Rangwala at Al Aqmar Mohalla, Janab Moiz Bhaisahab at Haideri Township, Sheikh Taha Bhai Kalonwala at New Saifi Nagar, Janab Abdul Qadir Januwala at Chhawni, Sheikh Hussain Bhai Shakir at Rau, and Sheikh Qaed Johar Bhai Shakir at Badri Bagh.
