Namli (Madhya Pradesh): A conspiracy is being hatched by a local Bhim Army leader to declare a parcel of private land (measuring 110 feet by 170 feet) in Ward No 6, which is earmarked for beneficiaries of Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana (PMAY), into revenue land and hand it over to a defunct religious trust (which has never been audited) for construction of a temple.

Local corporator Balwant Singh Songara said that he will raise this matter with the district collector Misha Singh and urge her to make details of ownership of the land public so that this conspiracy is nipped in the bud.

He alleged that local leader of Bhim Army, Mohan Parihar, and his supporters are trying to fraudulently capture the land through his religious trust. Locals said that Mohan Parihar now uses the land parcel to park his buses.

According to Songara, records with Namli Nagar Parishad show that the said land is registered in the name of Gulab Bai (daughter of Girdharilal, caste Kandra) having samagra ID 7001294973.

Locals said that there has also been a fight over this plot of land between opposing groups – Parihar and PMAY beneficiaries. At that time the police did not take any stern action and lodged cross complaints.
