BHOPAL: Replicating the decision taken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, the Maharishi Sanskrit Sansthan has also decided to give general promotion to its students.
Officials of the Sanskrit Sansthan (Board) confirmed that students of class 5, 8, 9 and 11 will be promoted to another level in view of Covid and considering the safety of children. Results of the students will be prepared on the basis of internal evaluation.
ìStudents other than class 12 will be promoted to the next level. This decision has been taken in view of the pandemic and its effect especially on children. The results will be prepared on the basis of internal evaluation,í said Prashant Dolas, deputy director, Sanskrit Sansthan.
No decision has been taken for the students of class 12. As state government officials decided on the formula for class 12, Sanskrit Sansthan is also likely to replicate it, he added.
Sanskrit Sansthan has written to the state government and sought guidance for the results of class 12.
There are more than 8000 students in Sanskrit Sansthan. About 4000 students appear in class 10 and 12 every year from the Sanskrit Board. The Number of students in other classes is about 5000.
Results of other classes besides class 12 are in the process to be prepared and will be done soon. The students who could not appear in internal exams would be promoted to the next class with minimum 33% passing marks.
