Indore : Haji Syed Sherali—President of Indore City Auto Rickshaw Association, expressed his displeasure at government’s apathy towards their demands, which include conversion of metre fare into kilometer and issuance of Tariff cards.
He said that at present there are four types of fare meter available in the city—7 per km, Rs10 per km, Rs12 per km and Rs15 per km.
He added that in absence of tariff card, the passengers have to negotiate the fare, which is time consuming both for the passenger and the driver.
He added that the auto rickshaw drivers have as yet converted the meters for at least 15 times and each time it costs them a minimum of Rs400-Rs600.
