400+ Company Secretaries Gather For ICSI Conference On AI And Corporate Governance In Indore

More than 400 company secretaries gathered for ICSI Indore Chapter’s two-day conference on AI and corporate governance. Speakers highlighted AI literacy, ethical technology use, deepfakes and emerging legal challenges. Indore (Madhya Pradesh): More than 400 company secretaries from across the country gathered in Indore for the two-day conference of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Indore Chapter, which began at a hotel near Nipania.

Based on the theme "AI Unlocked: Transforming the Future of Corporate Governance", the Aug 21-22 conference focuses on AI's growing role in corporate governance and the opportunities and challenges it presents for professionals.

Chief guest Kailash Vijayvargiya said AI usage is rapidly increasing and company secretaries must become AI-literate. He also announced land allocation for ICSI on Super Corridor.

ICSI president CS Pawan Chandak said AI integration in corporate governance is expanding rapidly and company secretaries must ensure its ethical and responsible use.

He also highlighted deepfakes and emerging legal and technological challenges as important areas requiring professional attention.

Former ICSI president CS Ashish Garg, council member CS Rajesh Tarpara, programme director CS Ashish Karodia, Western Region chairman CS Yogesh Chaudhary, regional council member CS Anurag Gangrade and Indore Chapter chairman CS Ankit Medatwal were present.

The first technical session featured Ahmedabad-based AI trainer Kaival Shah on the practical use of Claude AI for company secretaries. Delhi-based Study Cafe founder Deepak Gupta discussed the shift from manual to intelligent, AI-based working methods.

The conference aimed to prepare professionals, corporate experts and students for an AI-driven corporate governance ecosystem.
