Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was joined by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, both leaders launched scathing attacks on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), highlighting issues of love and harmony in the city.

Akhilesh Yadav, in his poetic style, underscored Agra's reputation as the city of love, emphasising the need to spread the message of love and harmony across the nation. He rallied the crowd with chants of 'Remove BJP, Save Constitution, Save the Country,' accusing the BJP of being the party behind paper leaks and promoting hatred in the country.

Yadav lamented the lack of employment opportunities for the youth, alleging that they were being compelled to burn their degrees due to unemployment. He criticised the BJP for its agricultural policies, claiming they were detrimental to farmers. Yadav concluded by affirming that the BJP's departure was imminent and that the Indian National Alliance would form the government.

Rahul Gandhi echoed Yadav's sentiments, condemning the BJP's divisive tactics and promising to prioritize the welfare of all sections of society.

He criticised the BJP for its failure to address unemployment and farmer distress, vowing to implement policies that would benefit the marginalized.

The joint rally by Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav signifies the growing collaboration between the Congress and Samajwadi Party ahead of the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The event garnered significant attention, with supporters hopeful of a strong opposition alliance challenging the ruling BJP.
