Uttar Pradesh's Transport Department has launched a WhatsApp chatbot (8005441222) enabling citizens to access 24/7 transport services without visiting RTO offices. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) granted API access, allowing real-time verification.

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh's Transport Department has launched a WhatsApp chatbot (8005441222) enabling citizens to access 24/7 transport services without visiting RTO offices. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) granted API access, allowing real-time verification of:

1. Vehicle Registration Details

2. Driving License Services

3. E-Challan Status/Payments

4. Application Tracking

The system employs end-to-end encryption, complying with data security protocols. Transport Commissioner Brijesh Narayan Singh confirmed this aligns with UP's Smart Transport System goals, reducing office footfall by an estimated 40%.
