A 32-year-old doctor, identified as Dr. Abisho D.J. from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was found dead in his hostel room (Room No. 25 on the ground floor) at BRD Medical College on Friday morning.

Staff discovered his body on the bed after he failed to respond to calls and his room was found locked from the inside.

Upon breaking into the room with police presence, Dr. Abisho was confirmed deceased. He was a Junior Resident (JR-3) in the Anesthesia Department. A syringe and vials of Vecuronium Bromide were found near his body, leading to an initial suspicion of a drug overdose.

The room has been sealed for forensic investigation; however, no suicide note was found.
