In a bizarre incident reported from Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district, a man eloped with his son’s fiancée and married her. The man’s son and wife were taken aback upon hearing the news of his marriage and now feel helpless as they face social embarrassment.
According to reports, the man has been identified as Shakeel, a resident of Bansangali village in Rampur. Shakeel had arranged his son’s nikah with Jabeena. However, the family opposed this arrangement as the son was still a minor.
The family has alleged that Shakeel pressured his wife and son, even beating up his wife to force Jabeena’s marriage to his son. This is how he convinced his family to accept Jabeena as his daughter-in-law.
The twist in the story came after Shakeel forcibly arranged the marriage—he then began having late-night, lengthy phone conversations with Jabeena. When the family objected, he physically assaulted them.
After suspecting an affair between his father and his would-be wife, Shakeel’s son refused to marry Jabeena. In response, Shakeel took cash and jewellery from the house and ran away with Jabeena. The family later discovered that he had married his would-be daughter-in-law.
