West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has come under attack from BJP leaders after she made a controversial remark over the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025.
Criticising Mamata Banerjee over her recent remark made in the West Bengal Assembly, BJP spokesperson Shehzaan Poonawalla said TMC stands for 'Talibani Mansikta and Culture'.
In an X post, referring to the old statements of INDIA bloc leaders, the BJP leader said, "Can this ever be said about any other faith? Why such liberty only with Sanatan and Hindu? Just for vote bank appeasement, target Sanatan? DMK says Sanatan should be eliminated, SP mocks Mahakumbh, Lalu says it is Faltu, Congress attacks Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha... it's a design."

"Can this be said about the sacred beliefs, pilgrimages, festivals, or events of any other religion? The 'Sar Tan Se Juda' lobby will spread terror on the streets!" he added.
Earlier today, while speaking in the West Bengal Assembly, West Bengal Chief Minister targeted Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over the tragic stampede-related deaths and the mismanagement at Maha Kumbh.
Referring to the holy event as 'Mrityu Kumbh', the West Bengal CM said, "This is 'Mrityu Kumbh'. I respect Maha Kumbh, I respect the holy Ganga Maa. But there is no planning. How many people have been recovered? For the rich, the VIPs, there are systems available to get camps (tents) for as high as Rs 1 lakh. For the poor, there are no arrangements at Kumbh. Stampede situations are common in a 'mela' but it is important to make arrangements. What planning did you make?"
