Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a blistering attack on RJD chief Lalu Prasad after the portrait of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was purportedly seen being placed near his feet and contended that people of Bihar would never forget the insult to Dalit icon.
“RJD and Congress keep Baba Saheb at their feet, I keep him in my heart,” Modi remarked, while lashing out at Lalu without naming him at a public meeting held at Jasauli in Siwan district.
Entire country has seen what type of behaviour RJD has done with the portrait of Ambedkar. Posters have been put up asking them (RJD) to tender an apology for insulting the portrait, but I know they will never apologise since they have no respect for Dalits and the extremely backward class. These people by insulting Ambedkar want to show that they are bigger than him in stature,” he added.
“I emphasise Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas but for RJD and Congress, it is only Parivar Ka Saath Parivar Ka Vikas,” he commented, while launching projects and laying the foundation stones for various projects.
He said that the politics of Congress and RJD was limited to family-based politics as leaders of both parties could even cause harm to the crores of families of the country and Bihar if it served the interest of their respective families.
“Since Ambedkar was against such type of politics, both RJD and Congress keep insulting him from time to time,” he added.
Sharpening his attack on RJD and Congress, he claimed that both parties were anti-Bihar and anti-investment in their attitude.
Applauding chief minister Nitish Kumar for creating a launch pad for the speedy growth of Bihar through his efforts, Modi said that Bihar would now reach new heights of development, as the state`s glorious past would be restored.
