Lucknow: The Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the body looking after the construction of the grand Ram Temple at Ayodhya has announced the date of the consecration on January 22.
The trust chairman, Nripendra Mishra on Tuesday said that the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of Ram temple at the Janambhoomi in Ayodhya would likely be held on January 22, 2024 in the presence of 10000 selected guests. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be present during the consecration ceremony. He said that the ground floor of the Ram temple would be completed by the end of this year.
Esteemed personalities to attend consecretion event
Noted industrialists, artists, religious leaders from all the sects, players, and Padma award winners would be among those to be invited for the consecration ceremony. Besides the family members of those Kar Sewaks who had laid their lives for the temple movement will also be invited in the ceremony.
Temple inauguration will be 1-month long
The head priest of Ram Temple, Acharya Satyendra Das informed that the month-long inauguration ceremony would begin from January 14 and the main function of consecration would be held on January 22. The trust has planned to make arrangements for the food and stay of the pilgrims coming to Ayodhya during the month-long inaugural ceremony.
The general secretary of trust Champat Rai said that there would be two idols of Lord Ram in the main temple of which one will be of 51 inch.
