Jaipur: Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra has directed the state government to initiate a high-level inquiry on alleged jab wastage in the state. He has written a letter to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot regarding this and directed to appraise him about the action taken in the matter at the earliest ‘vaccine is the only option to save lives in this pandemic, central and state government is doing applicable effort by vaccinating people but media reports of wastage of life-saving vaccines are a matter of serious concern’ said the Governor in his letter written to the Chief Minister.
He has drawn Gehlot’s attention to some of the media reports related to the wastage of vaccines in the state and directed to initiate a high-level enquiry in the matter. He has also directed to implement an effective action plan to save every dose of vaccine.
It is to mention that there were media reports of alleged wastage of vaccines in some of the health centres of the state. Opposition party BJP has made it a big issue and alleged the state government of mismanagement as Chief Minister Gimlet is constantly raising questions on vaccine policy of the central government and complaining of shortage of vaccines.
