India has announced significant sanctions against Pakistan following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed 28 lives. The decision comes after an emergency meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, demonstrating India's firm response to the incident.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri revealed on Wednesday that the Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect. Additionally, all existing valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be revoked beginning April 27.

In a subsequent clarification issued on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs specified that medical visas issued to Pakistani nationals will remain valid only until April 29.

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued strict directives requiring all Pakistani nationals currently in India to leave before their visas expire under the amended terms.

Furthermore, the government has advised Indian nationals to avoid traveling to Pakistan and urged those already in Pakistan to return to India as soon as possible. These measures collectively represent a significant diplomatic escalation between the two nations.

In his first public remarks on the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a stern warning while addressing an event in Bihar's Madhubani. "India will identify, track and punish every terrorist, their handlers and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the earth. India's spirit will never be broken by terrorism," the Prime Minister stated, underscoring the government's commitment to combat terrorism with all available means.
