New Delhi: In a bold and targeted counter-terror operation, Indian armed forces demolished the Markaz Subhan Allah facility in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The facility was reported to be a key headquarters and training ground for the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The airstrike, part of Operation Sindoor, marks one of India’s most precise and major cross-border responses in recent years, aimed squarely at the nerve centres of anti-India terror planning.

A video of the damaged structure has surfaced on the internet. In the video, one can see the structure reduced to rubble after the late night targeted strikes by the Indian armed forces.

Why Markaz Subhan Allah?

Markaz Subhan Allah, the target of this particular strike, was more than just a training camp. Located in Bahawalpur, the hometown of JeM founder Masood Azhar, the compound functioned as the ideological heart and operational hub for the group’s activities. Intelligence reports had long flagged the location as a centre for indoctrination, weapons training and coordination of cross-border attacks.

Details On Locations Striked In Pakistan & PoK

The strike hit key facilities of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. The targeted locations included: Markaz Subhan Allah (Bahawalpur), Markaz Taiba (Muridke), Sarjal/Tehra Kalan, Mehmoona Joya (Sialkot), Markaz Ahle Hadith (Barnala), Markaz Abbas and Maskar Raheel Shahid (Kotli), Shawai Nallah Camp and Syedna Bilal Markaz (Muzaffarabad), delivering a firm message against cross-border terrorism.

More About 'Operation Sindoor'

Launched in the aftermath of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that left 26 civilians dead, Operation Sindoor was carried out by the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy in a rare tri-service strike. The joint assault was ordered by the top political and military leadership following weeks of surveillance and strategic planning.

PM Modi Chose Codename 'Operation Sindoor'

According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally named the mission “Sindoor” — a symbolic reference to the vermillion worn by married Hindu women, reflecting the loss and grief of widows created by the Pahalgam attack.
