Noida Police Slap ₹53,000 Fine On Biker After Viral Video Shows Woman Sitting On Bike Fuel Tank, Hugging Rider

Performing stunts while riding a bike on the expressway cost a couple dearly. Recently, a video of a couple surfaced online showing the woman sitting on the fuel tank of a bike and hugging the rider as he drove the vehicle.

Another motorist recorded the couple’s reckless display and made the video go viral.

The Noida Traffic Police took notice of the viral video on Sunday and fined the bike owner ₹53,500.

Responding to an X (formerly Twitter) post about the incident, the Noida Traffic Police confirmed the action, stating, "Taking cognizance of the said complaint, action has been taken against the concerned vehicle for violating traffic rules by issuing an e-challan (fine of ₹53,500) as per regulations."

The viral video has drawn mixed reactions from social media users. One user joked, "For ₹53,500, they could have flown to Thailand!"

Another defended the couple, "Which section of the Indian Penal Code has such rules? Will lovers no longer be allowed to touch each other in public?"
