Narmadapuram: The rear coach of 19483 Barauni Express running from Madhya Pradesh's Narmadapuram to Ahmedabad to Barauni caught fire near Khutwasa village station in Seoni Malwa tehsil of Narmadapuram on Monday. 

A video of the compartment caught fire is making rounds on the internet. Police can also be spotted in the video.

Reportedly, the incident occurred near Khutwasa railway station at 4 pm. The train going from Ahmedabad to Barauni left Khandwa for Itarsi at around 2 pm. After crossing Dharamkundi station, the guard saw smoke.

The train was stopped immediately after receiving the information. The news of fire created panic among the passengers. As soon as the train stopped, the passengers got down.

Probe has revealed that the last bogie of the train containing luggage and generator caught fire. For the safety of the passengers, this bogie was cut off from the train and separated by the railway employees.
