Andhra Pradesh: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday morning visited the revered Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, where he offered prayers and sought blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

Known for his strong religious inclination, Shinde reportedly performed special pooja rituals at the temple, one of the most prominent pilgrimage sites in the country, popularly known as Tirupati Balaji. He was accompanied by a small group of close aides and security personnel during the visit.

Shinde Seen In Traditional Attire Along With Son Shrikant

Visuals of his temple visit have gone viral on the social media platform X, drawing attention from devotees and followers alike. In the widely circulated video, the Deputy Chief Minister, accompanied by his son, MP Shrikant Shinde, is seen dressed in traditional attire, walking through the temple premises with folded hands, reflecting deep devotion and humility. He appeared to be blending in with other devotees, participating in the spiritual atmosphere like any ordinary pilgrim.

Shinde has long been known for his deep-rooted faith and regular visits to religious sites across India. Even while based in Maharashtra, he frequently travels to prominent temples to offer prayers and participate in rituals. His devotion to Lord Venkateswara is particularly notable and he is known to visit Tirupati periodically to seek blessings.

Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the temple affairs, extended a warm welcome to the Deputy Chief Minister upon his arrival. Necessary arrangements were made to ensure a smooth experience while maintaining regular temple activities for other devotees.
