Indigo passenger reports luggage weight discrepancy of the same bag on two different conveyers at Chandigarh airport |

A traveler on an IndiGo flight from Chandigarh to Delhi recently noted an inconsistency at the airport check-in desk. While checking his luggage, the scales at two separate counters showed varying readings for the identical bag, leading to worries regarding the precision of the equipment.

The traveler indicated that he first sensed a problem because his suitcase seemed lighter than the weight shown on the scale. When he shared his worries with the IndiGo worker at the counter, she recommended that he measure his bag on another belt. Nonetheless, when he proceeded, the second scale displayed a different measurement, intensifying his doubts.

Daksh Sethi, who is a educational consultant according to his social media, posted a video reporting about the incident that took place at the Chandigarh airport. The video posted on the user's social media handle (thewolfofjobstreet), gained traction in no time. Daksh posted he video along with a caption that read: "Chandigarh Airport. 30th Jan, ‘25. Around 16:00 hrs

Same Bag. Two counters.
Two different weights.
2.3 KGs difference.
Can these machines be easily manipulated? I hope this is a rare case and a technical glitch. I generally felt that my bag wasn’t as heavy as it showed, so the lady at the counter asked me to check it on the other belt. And to my surprise, it showed a different number! These little things breaks our trust in the system. I hope this is taken up very seriously."

The event has generated significant worry among travelers, who are currently doubting the dependability of airport machinery and the possible effects on baggage management and charges.
