In a recent move by Indian Railways, several trips of long-distance trains have been cancelled for the coming days. While the official reason for the cancellations has not been provided, sources suggest that the decision may have been taken to manage the heavy rush in the Prayagraj area, particularly during the ongoing festivities.
Among the cancelled services, the Surat - Chhapra Tapti Ganga Express will not operate on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of February 2025. Similarly, the return journey of Chhapra - Surat Tapti Ganga Express has been cancelled for the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd of February 2025.
The Ahmedabad - Barauni Express will also see cancellations on 19th and 21st February 2025, while two trips of the return journey (Barauni - Ahmedabad Express) on the 21st and 23rd of February have been cancelled as well.

Additionally, one trip of Ahmedabad - Asansol Express scheduled for 20th February 2025 has been cancelled, along with its return journey (Asansol - Ahmedabad Express) on 22nd February.
Apart from these cancellations, Train No. 14115 Dr Ambedkar Nagar – Prayagraj Express, which was scheduled to operate from 18th to 27th February, will now short terminate at Khajuraho station instead of Prayagraj. Similarly, Train No. 14116 Prayagraj - Dr Ambedkar Nagar Express, running from 19th to 28th February, will now short originate from Khajuraho station instead of Prayagraj.
