COVID-19: India logs 18,930 fresh cases, 35 deaths reported in last 24 hours

With a daily positivity rate at 4.32%, the total number of active cases stands at 1,19,457.

India has reported 18,930 fresh COVID-19 cases and 35 deaths in the last 24 hours as per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Thursday.

With a daily positivity rate at 4.32%, the total number of active cases stands at 1,19,457. The data says as many as 14,650 patients recovered from the novel infection.

Amid a rise in coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, no COVID-19 related death in Mumbai has been reported in the last 22 days. For the second day, the number of fresh COVID cases in the city was below 700.

Thane district has reported 358 fresh cases, taking the total tally to 7,30,427. The death toll in the district remained unchanged at 11,909 and the recovery count reached 7,14,704.
