Indian Wrestler Sushil Kumar today was presented to a court in Delhi for the hearing in the 23-year-old Sagar Rana's murder case at Chhatrasal Stadium. The Delhi Police who arrested him after a long trail has seeked further seven-day remand of Kumar in the court.

On Friday (May 29), the Delhi Police arrested two more people in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl in which one wrestler died and his two friends were injured. The accused, Rohit Karoria and Bijender, were arrested from the national capital, they said.

The police said that a total of nine people, including Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar, have been arrested so far in the incident.

Kumar and his associate Ajay were taken to Bathinda and Chandigarh in connection with the ongoing investigation to ascertain the sequence of events that unfolded after they fled the city following the wrestler's death, a senior police officer said.

He said Kumar is being evasive and has not been cooperative with the investigators during questioning and added that the wrestlers will be produced in court on Saturday along with his associate to seek his police remand.

A video surfaced on social media on Thursday purportedly showing Kumar and his associates allegedly hitting another man with sticks.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court yesterday refused to entertain a plea seeking to restrain the media from sensationalising Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar's trial in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old wrestler.

Disposing of the plea filed by a law student, the bench said: "Let that man come...We see no reason to entertain litigation on behalf of a vigilant person. The plea claimed that Kumar's career and reputation was tarnished by the media reporting against him in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl that led to the death of a wrestler.
