Kanpur: A major accident was averted in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur during Friday prayers after a mischievous boy reportedly set fire to a bike parked near Dada Miyan Mazar. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

Several bikes were engulfed by the fire, causing panic among worshippers. However, the Namazis acted swiftly and managed to control the fire before it could spread further. Had the blaze not been extinguished in time, it could have led to a major accident.

The CCTV footage shows the boy setting the bike on fire and fleeing the scene immediately.

Police Action

Kanpur police has reacted to the viral video on micro-blogging website X and assured legal action. "The case is under the cognisance of Jajmau police station, and based on CCTV footage, the child will be identified, and necessary legal action will be taken."
