Bengaluru: The residents of the city is set to experience a Sunny Day on Monday, March 24, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius and maximum temperatures of 31 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The city witnessed the Sunrise at 06:21 AM and the Sun is expected to set at 06:31 PM. The weather department said that with a sharp rise in temperature, the city has become hotter than Delhi and Mumbai.
Today's weather
No significant rainfall is expected today, said IMD, and a dry and pleasant day is expected. Today, the humidity is expected to be around 70 per cent, and the wind is likely to blow from the Southeast at 11 km/h. Meanwhile, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in North Interior Karnataka.
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for the next five days on X and wrote, "Cloudy weather is expected across the state till March 26, with thunder, lightning & gale force winds reaching 30-40 kmph. Moderate rain is likely to occur at scattered places in coastal, Malnad, and south interior districts."
Rainfall lashed in Bengaluru
Heavy rainfall lashed in Bengaluru and brought relief from heat to residents of the city. However, the sudden spell of waterlogging caused traffic congestion across several parts of the city. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Bengaluru received 3.6mm of rainfall with thunderstorms from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
The heavy rainfall on Sunday, March 23, 2025, was accompanied by gusty winds, and it led to the falling of trees and branches in some areas. The rainfall also causes disruption in electricity in many parts. Meanwhile, hail storms were reported in regions like Bengaluru rural district and Hostoke.
