Chennai: The AIADMK Friday told its party cadres and supporters that party general secretary J.Jayalalithaa’s team of lawyers would file the necessary petitions in the courts and asked them not to file any petitions without her permission.

Jayalalithaa is now lodged in Bangalore Central Jail after being sentenced to a four-year jail term by a court there in a corruption case.

According to an AIADMK statement, the petition filed in the Madras High Court to allow her to continue as the state chief minister and the petition filed in the Karnataka High Court to transfer her to Tamil Nadu has been filed by people with “bad intention”.

The AIADMK is not connected with the two petitions, the statement said.

The petitions seem to have been filed by enemies to create a negative image about Jayalalithaa in the minds of apex court judges as she has applied for bail there, it said.
