Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta Release Delayed? |

Zee TV’s revival of Pavitra Rishta has generated significant buzz, given the original show’s iconic status starring the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande. Fans have high expectations from the new series, which was initially scheduled to premiere in February 2026. However, the release has now been delayed, even as the makers continue working full steam on the episodes. So, when will Pavitra Rishta finally hit television screens?

According to Telly Express, Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta, originally slated for a February 2026 launch, may now premiere after the IPL. With cricket fever taking over India during the IPL season, television TRPs typically dip. To avoid a lukewarm start, the channel is reportedly targeting a post-IPL release window for the show.

The delay also comes amid some creative changes in the show. Reports suggest a few episodes were scrapped and re-shot to accommodate revisions in the storyline. Despite these adjustments, the show remains on track, with makers gearing up for its much-anticipated release.

However, the exact release date of Pavitra Rishta has not yet been announced. Reports suggest that Zee TV plans to launch the show soon after the IPL concludes.

Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta features Abrar Qazi and Priyanshi Yadav in the lead roles, with Pallav Pradhan and Rupa Devettia playing pivotal characters. The show is created by Siddhartha Vankara and produced by Aman Sachdeva.

Given that the title is the same as Ekta Kapoor’s original 2009 hit, the producer didn’t hold back on social media, calling out what she termed intellectual dishonesty. She wrote, "When you can't create an IP, you feed on an established one of another creator! Terrible ethics or intellectual bankruptcy, or both! Nothing Pavitra about it!" Back then, her post did not name any names, but it clearly conveyed the message and fans instantly understood that she was calling out the makers of Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta.
