The much-awaited trailer of War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, was unveiled by the makers on Friday (July 25), and it has quickly become a hot topic online. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is part of YRF's Spy Universe and promises a high-octane action spectacle, packed with drama, romance, and patriotism.
While the trailer has received praise from fans, it has also attracted criticism for a specific scene that appears to defy logic. A section of social media users pointed out a scene in which a speedboat is seen racing on what looks like a Formula 1 track. The visual has raised eyebrows and triggered a wave of memes and jokes online.
Eagle-eyed netizens were quick to spot the error, questioning how a water vehicle could operate on a racing circuit meant for cars. Apart from the unusual boat scene, some netizens have also criticised the overall visual effects in the trailer, calling it "underwhelming" and "poor" for a film of this scale and budget.

Only YRF can pull off these cinematic karnaamas, bike turns into boat (D3), now boat turns into car. At this rate, next film’s gonna have a car turning into a fighter jet mid-song. Peak innovation."
Another commented, "Seriously. Why do Indian directors think that the audience is stupid?!? Brain rot in Bollywood is so real now."

Despite the trolling, the trailer continues to trend on social media, with many fans expressing excitement for the film’s release.
The first film in YRF Spy Universe was Ek Tha Tiger, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It released in 2012, followed by its sequel Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017. The third film in the universe, War was released in 2019 and starred Hrithik and Tiger Shroff. Pathaan was the fourth instalment in the Spy Universe franchise which was released in 2023 starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
Tiger 3 was the fifth instalment. War 2 is the sixth film of the universe and will release on August 14, 2025.
