There were reports that on July 16, 2025, Rakesh Roshan was taken to Kokilaben Ambani hospital due to a dip in his health. However, later it was revealed that he underwent neck angioplasty. The actor's daughter, Sunaina Roshan, confirmed the report and revealed that there's 'nothing to worry'.
While talking to Amar Ujala Digital, Sunaina said, “Yes, papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He’s resting."
According to a report in India Forums, Hrithik Roshan has been visiting the hospital regularly, and he is accompanied by his girlfriend Saba Azad and sister Sunaina. Sources close to the Roshan family confirmed that the filmmaker has been shifted to the general ward from the ICU, and his condition is stable.
In 2018, the Koi Mil Gaya director was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (cancer) of the throat. He underwent surgery and treatment, and after a few years, he was cancer-free. Even at 75, Roshan is very fit, and his Instagram is filled with videos from gym and workouts.

Rakesh Roshan will be producing Krrish 4, and while he had directed Koi Mil Gaya and other Krissh franchise films, he won't be helming the fourth instalment. Hrithik will be making his directorial debut with Krrish 4.
While making an announcement about Krrish 4, the Roshan senior had posted on Instagram, "Duggu 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings!"
Krrish 4 has been officially announced, but it is not yet known when the film will start rolling and hit the big screens.
