Actress Karishma Tanna reacted to influencer, stylist and image coach Abhinya Menon who pointed out her natural belly bulge in one of her ramp walk videos. On Thursday (April 17), Karishma responded with grace to those who have been body-shaming her after videos of her recent ramp walk at a fashion show surfaced on social media.
Dressed in a stunning white fishtail lehenga with a corset-style blouse, Karishma exuded confidence, but the influencer and some internet users chose to focus on her natural waist bulge.
It all started after the influencer shared a video of Karishma with the caption, "Wardrobe malfunction or style mistake? What's happening here?? Tight is not stylish, it is bad styling. The skirt is tight and making her tummy bulge out. She must be so uncomfortable."
The video even highlighted her waist bulge with an arrow. However, Karishma was in no mood to ignore the video. She re-shared the reel on her Instagram story and wrote, "Too much time on your hands and too much negativity to spill out. Oh he's lost weight, he's on Ozyempic. Oh she's looking too pretty, she must have gotten Botox done. Oh she's gained weight. Gosh you know what makes me happy?"
Karishma added, "At least if you go read the comments, people have a mind of their own, one that is not influenced by the negativity. For once use social media to uplift not bring people down! #BePositive."
Soon after the video surfaced, a section of Instagram users also came out in Karishma's support. Many pointed out the toxicity of unrealistic beauty standards and praised Karishma for her poise and confidence.
In another Instagram story, Karishma also thanked everyone who defended her. Sharing screenshots of positive comments, she wrote, "Thank you all, support each other."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karishma was last seen in Ananya Panday's web series Call Me Bae. She has not announced any of her upcoming projects yet.
