'Tobacco Is Something I Enjoy': Aamir Khan QUITS Smoking, Sacrifices His 'Bad' Habit For Son Junaid Khan’s Career (VIDEO)

Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is set for the release of his film Loveyapa. At the trailer launch in Mumbai, Aamir revealed he has quit his long-time 'bad' habit of smoking. "It is something I love very much. Tobacco is something I enjoy; it is not good for health. Mujhe khushi hai ki maine yeh buri aadat chhod di," he shared.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is all set for the release of his much-awaited theatrical film, Loveyapa, starring Khushi Kapoor in the lead. Earlier today, the trailer of the film was released in Mumbai, with Aamir in attendance. During the event, he opened up about quitting his long-time 'bad' habit of smoking cigarettes and pipes, despite his love for tobacco.

Aamir said, "Smoking is something I love very much, it is something I enjoy. Kitne saalon se main cigarette peeta tha, fir pipe peeta hoon. Tobacco is something I enjoy; it is not good for health, aur kisi ko bhi yeh nahi karna chahiye. Mujhe khushi hai ki maine yeh buri aadat chhod di. Yeh acchi aadat nahi thi, aur iska jo reason hai, woh sach mein khaas hai."

Further, Aamir shared that making this decision was a turning point for him, as he chose to sacrifice his long-standing habit for his son Junaid, who is beginning his career in films. "Meine apne dil mein ek mannat maang li, yeh chale nahi chale, mein apne taraf se chodd raha hu as a father, I would sacrifice. And I hope that in many universes he will go and do something," the 59-year-old actor said.

Junaid's Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan, the same filmmaker behind Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, it is produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment.

Loveyapa also features Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar and, Kiku Sharda among others. The movie is scheduled to release on February 7, 2025.

This film also will be Junaid and Khushi's first theatrical release following their OTT films, Maharaj and The Archies, respectively.
