The Electric State is a science fiction adventure film helmed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. It is based on Simon Stalenhag's 2018 illustrated novel of the same name. The Electric State had its world premiere on February 24, 2025, at Grauman's Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The Electric State stars Millie Bobby Brown as Michelle, Chris Pratt as Keats, and Ke Huy Quan as Dr. Amherst, among others. It will be directly released on OTT in March 2025. 

When and where to watch The Electric State

The upcoming film is slated to be released on March 14, 2025. Audiences can watch it on streaming giant, Netflix. Chris Pratt shared the trailer of the movie on X and wrote, "Robots lost their freedom. Humans lost connection. An orphan, a smuggler, and a missing boy may be the key to saving everything. Directed by the Russo Brothers, THE ELECTRIC STATE is only on @netflix, MARCH 14."

Plot 

The plot of the film follows Michelle, played by Millie Bobby Brown, an orphaned teenager whose life is turned upside down when she discovers that her brother has vanished without a trace. Everything changes for her when she meets a mysterious robot named Cosmo. What will happen when she learns that Cosmo is connected to her missing brother, Christopher? Will she be able to find him? The film also features a talented cast and impressive production values, contributing to its captivating story.

The cast of the film includes Millie Bobby Brown as Michelle, Chris Pratt as Keats, Stanley Tucci as Ethan Skate, Ke Huy Quan as Dr  Amherst, Woody Norman as Christopher, Giancarlo Esposito as Colonel Marshall Bradbury, Marin Hinkle as Ms Sablinsky, Martin Klebba as Herman, and Jason Alexander as Ted, among others.

The film's screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. It is produced by  Russell Ackerman, Chris Castaldi, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Patrick Newall, and Mike Larocca.
