Choreographer Remo D'Souza was all over the news on Thursday after reports claimed that he received death threats via an e-mail which was traced to Pakistan. However, his wife Lizelle has now rubbished the reports, and she said that all they received were spam mails and not threat mails.

Reacting to reports of receiving threats from Pakistan, Lizelle told Hindustan Times, "No, it’s false. Even we read it (in the media). We got spam e-mails on the company e-mail ID regarding something else, for which we informed the cops. The cyber department is looking into it, and they also feel it’s spam."

She went on to say that there was nothing to worry about, adding, "I don’t know why it’s linked to this (death threats). Maybe the media has misinterpreted. It may be for someone else, and they must have clubbed things with others."

On Thursday, reports claimed that several celebs including Remo, comedian Kapil Sharma, actor Rajpal Yadav, comedian Sugandha Mishra, and others, received threatening e-mails from Pakistan, warning them of dire consequences if the demands were not met.

"We are watching your recent actions closely. We believe it is necessary to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a public stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request that you take this message seriously and maintain confidentiality," a part of the threatening e-mail read.

The sender identified himself as 'Vishnu' in the e-mail and used the e-mail address 'Don99284'.

The sender also reportedly gave the celebs an ultimatum of 8 hours and warned that if his demands were not met within the stipulated time, there will be "dangerous consequences".
