The teaser of Ramayana was released on Thursday, and while it has received mixed reviews from netizens, Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Siddharth Anand, and others are praising Ranbir Kapoor's look as Lord Ram.

The much-awaited Rama teaser from Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor was launched on Thursday. The teaser introduces Ranbir as Lord Rama, and while it has received mixed response from netizens, many Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Siddharth Anand and others took to social media to praise it.

Karan posted on his Instagram story, "Cannot wait !!!! Ranbir Kapoor embodies Lord Rama with divine reverence and piousness... his last turn on hearing his name was the pièce de résistance of this spectacular first look..... (sic)."

King director Siddharth Anand wrote, "SPECTACULAR! Ranbir has nailed it as Lord Rama for me. I cannot wait to celebrate Diwali this year with #Ramayana on the biggest screen! Nitesh sir your craft is just awe-inspiring. Namit you have done what you promised! (sic)."

Alia Bhatt shared the teaser on her Instagram, and actress Bipasha Basu commented on it, "Just WOW! (sic)."

Ranbir Kapoor's sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, shared a couple of pictures of her brother as Lord Rama, and wrote, "Ramayan Jai Shree Ram." Check out her post below...

Ramayana Cast

Apart from Ranbir, the movie also stars Sai Pallavi (Sita), Yash (Raavan), Sunny Deol (Hanuman), and Ravie Dubey (Lakshman) in the lead roles. With such an amazing star cast, the expectations from the movie are quite high. However, the netizens clearly expected more from the teaser.

So, let's hope that the future assets of the film turn out to be better.

Ramayana Release Date

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, Ramayana will be released in two parts. Part 1 will release on Diwali this year, and part 2 will hit the big screens on Diwali next year.

According to reports, part 1 will end at Sita Haran; however, there's no confirmation about it. Now, after Ranbir's look as Rama, the audience is waiting for Sai Pallavi's look as Sita.
