Days after receiving death threats via e-mail from Pakistan, actor Rajpal Yadav issued an official statement in which he said that he has informed the cops and cybercrime cell about the mail.

In an audio statement, Yadav stated that he does not wish to speak on the incident and that the cops are now looking into the threatening e-mail. "I have informed both the cybercrime department and the police, and after that, I haven't spoken to anyone. In fact, it's not my job to talk about this incident when I don't know anything about it," he said, according to IANS.

Yadav further stated, "I am an actor, and in acting, I try to entertain people of all ages, young and old, through my work. I don't want to say anything more than this. Whatever needs to be said about this matter, the agencies are capable of providing the information. I have shared the details I was aware of."

Based on the complaint filed by Yadav's wife, the Amboli Police have registered an FIR under Section 351(3) of the BNS against an unknown persons.

While Yadav received the threat mail on December 14, 2024, comedian Kapil Sharma, actress-comedian Sugandha Mishra, and choreographer Remo D’Souza also received death threats from Pakistan via e-mail. The sender mentioned Kapil was his target because his show was sponsored by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

The sender identified himself as 'Vishnu' in the e-mail and used the e-mail address 'Don99284'.

"We are watching your recent actions closely. We believe it is necessary to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a public stunt or an attempt to harass you. We request that you take this message seriously and maintain confidentiality," a part of the threatening e-mail read.

The sender also gave the celebs an ultimatum of 8 hours and warned that if his demands were not met within the stipulated time, there will be "dangerous consequences".
