Parag Tyagi was massively trolled for walking his dog Simba just hours after the sudden demise of his wife, Shefali Jariwala. In viral videos captured outside their Mumbai residence on Saturday morning, Parag was seen walking Simba while carrying a photo frame of Shefali. Soon after the video surfaced and was shared by several paparazzi accounts, netizens began criticising Parag. A section of users even commented that he looked 'too normal' despite the tragic circumstances.

Days later, Paras Chhabra reacted to the criticism and defended Parag amid the trolling. Speaking to IANS, he said, "Shefali and Parag were very close to their pet. He was a family member to them. Three members were living together in a house, and one of them is suddenly gone. In such a situation, you should understand Parag's mental state. He would want to keep him even closer and very close to his heart. There is a sense of fear and longing at the same time. People might think it's strange, but since I know them closely, I understood his psychology. Moreover, their pet has grown old and cannot see properly. So, Parag's responsibility towards him increases even more."

Further, Paras shared that dogs are highly sensitive and can sense when something is wrong. He added that Shefali’s dog, Simba, was also aware of her passing. "He was visibly sad and affected by her passing," concluded Chabbra.

Jariwala passed away on June 27 at the age of 42 at her Mumbai residence. She was cremated the following evening at the Oshiwara Crematorium.

On Thursday evening, Parag penned an emotional tribute for her on his Instagram and described her as 'fire wrapped in grace.'

While the post-mortem report is still awaited, initial police and medical investigations suggest that Shefali reportedly died of a cardiac arrest.
