The Karan Arjun actress became the Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnari Akhara, and her ceremony for the same took place a couple of weeks ago. However, a lot of people had questioned that why was she made Mahamandaleshwar and that too of a Kinnar Akhara. Not just that, she was expelled by the founder of the Akhara.
Now, Mamta took to Instagram to share a video, in which she has said that she resigns from the post of Mahamandaleshwar, She said, "Main Mahamandaleshwar Yamai Mamta Nandagiri, main iss post, main istifa de rahi ho. Aaj Kinnare Akhade ya dono akhade ke beech mein jo, mujhe leke problems ho rahi hai. Main ek Sadhvi Thi 25 saal se aur main Sadhvi hie rahungi."
She further said, "Bollywood ko main 25 saal pehle chhoda. Main apne aap gayab rahi. Warna makeup se, Bollywood se itna dur kaun rehta hai?"
Mamta also stated that she doesn't want to speak much about people who are against she getting Mahamandaleshwar post. However, she clarified about the reports of paying to get the post.
The former actress revealed that in a room there were many Mahamandaleshwars and she was asked for Rs. 2 lakh, but she didn't have it. So, Mahamandaleshwar Jayambanandgiri gave on behalf of her. She also said that the reports of paying Rs. 3-4 crore are all false.
Well, Mamta's fans are supporting her decision. A fan commented, "We are with you mamta mam we support you in your every decision." Another fan wrote, "Mamta Kulkarni ji duniya ka najriye hi kharab hai ab apni najar mein sahi rahiye bus."
One more netizen called her 'maa' in the comment, and wrote, "Aap ekdam sehi ho Maa...Baba Mahakal hai wo sab dekh rahe hai..so wo sehi karange aap k sath.. AAP bas tuto maat Maa."
Mamta Kulkarni has been away from the industry from the past 25 years, and a few days ago, in an interview also she had stated that it is impossible for her to return to Bollywood.
