Actress Shruti Haasan had an unexpected yet hilarious experience when she went to watch her latest film Coolie at a Chennai theatre on its release day, Thursday (August 14). Despite being the leading lady of the film, Shruti was briefly denied entry as the security guard at the venue failed to recognise her and stopped her car.
A video of the incident, now going viral, shows the actress sitting in her car with friends, trying to enter the premises. In the clip, shared on Instagram stories by Singaporean-Tamil rapper Yung Raja, the guard is seen halting her vehicle.

Amused by the situation, Shruti playfully addressed him, saying, "I’m in the movie. Please allow me, anna (brother). I am the heroine, sir," leaving everyone around in the car in splits. The guard eventually let them in.
Rakesh Gowthaman, proprietor of Vettri Theatres, where the incident took place, later re-shared the video on X (formerly known as Twitter). Adding a light-hearted caption, he wrote, "My man Raayal over performed his duty. Hilarious moment. Thanks for being with us @shrutihaasan mam... Hope you enjoyed the show!!! #CoolieFDFS in #Vettri."

In the film, she plays the role of Rajinikanth's best friend Sathyaraj's daughter. She is receiving praises for her role.
