Actor Tiku Talsania, 70, best known for his roles in popular films such as Cirkus, Hungama, Special 26, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara!, Dhamaal, Dhol, Phir Hera Pheri, Rishtey, and Devdas, among others, has reportedly suffered a heart attack.
According to Telly Chakkar, Tiku is currently in a critical condition, and further information is awaited.
Who is Tiku Talsania?
Born in 1954, Tiku Talsania made his acting debut with a TV show Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi in 1984. Renowned for his comic roles in films, he has also starred in numerous television serials and was an active freelance theatre artist, participating in various Gujarati theatre productions.
He started his Bollywood career in 1986 with Pyaar Ke Do Pal starring Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Simple Kapadia, among others.
Tiku Talsania received critical acclaim for his role as Dharamdas, the caretaker of the protagonist Devdas, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas, which featured Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Madhuri Dixit.
Tiku is married to Deepti, and they have two children: a son, Rohaan Talsania, who is a music composer, and a daughter, Shikha Talsania, an actress known for her role in Veere Di Wedding.
On the work front, Tiku was last seen in Raaj Shaandilyaa's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri in the lead.
In 2023, Tiku stated that he isn't getting the good parts despite auditioning and sending feelers, stating that he was ‘slightly jobless.’
During an interview with Pinkvilla, he opened up about the jobless remark, and said, "By jobless, I meant that I'm not getting good work I'm looking for something interesting, something new, and something that I have never done before, like a villain character."
