German-Italian DJ Stella Bossi has spoken about the recent halt to her Mumbai performance, saying the city’s nightlife has faced 'difficult moments,' including incidents in which people have tragically lost their lives after nights out. Bossi was performing at antiSOCIAL in Lower Parel on Friday night when officials arrived and asked her to stop her set. At the time, she shared a video of the incident on Instagram, saying she was only around 50 minutes into her performance.

Days later, Bossi shared another video reflecting on what happened and the wider concerns surrounding Mumbai’s nightlife. She said she wanted to understand the 'bigger picture,' noting that regulations around events have understandably become stricter following recent incidents. "I don’t have all the answers. And I don’t think pointing fingers helps," she added.

''Nobody Should Lose Their Life...'
“NOBODY should lose their life on a night out,” she said, stressing that conversations about making nightlife safer should continue without taking away from what makes the culture special.
Bossi also thanked her Indian fans for what she described as an 'incredible weekend' and signed off with a message encouraging people to look after themselves and one another.
Officials later clarified that the personnel seen in the video were from the Excise Department, not the Mumbai Police. According to the authorities, the event was stopped because the organisers had failed to obtain the mandatory one-day club/party permit required to host a large, ticketed event at the venue.
Earlier, the show was planned for the Cruise Terminal at Ballard Estate, but after permission was denied, the organisers shifted it to antiSOCIAL without obtaining the mandatory safety and commercial-event clearances specific to the new venue.
