Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor grabbed eyeballs on Tuesday after she got home a swanky new Lamborghini car worth a whopping Rs 4 crore on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. However, a section of the internet raised eyebrows, pointing out that she is the same person who had protested against the construction of a Metro car shed in the Aarey forest belt several years ago, and now, she has gifted herself a fuel-run car.
On Wednesday, Shraddha was seen driving her car to the famed ISKCON temple in Juhu and she even performed a puja to welcome her new set of wheels home.
As soon as photos and videos of the actress with her new car went viral on the internet, netizens schooled her for using a petrol-run luxury car that has a low mileage and consumes more fuel (emitting more CO2 emissions) when she herself advocated for saving the environment a couple of years back.
For the unawares, back in 2019, Shraddha had joined a protest in the city against chopping down of trees in the Aarey belt to build a new Metro car shed.
""Selective activist of environment" Shraddha didn't want car shed n opposed Metro proj which is essential for common Mumbaikars but didi khud Luxurious car leke ghumegi," a user wrote.

Another mentioned, "Shraddha Kapoor buys a Rs 4 crore Lamborghini that drinks fuel and spews CO2. Is this the same Shraddha Kapoor who protested against the cutting of trees in Aarey forest?"
