The popular crime show, CID, has returned after many years with its second season, and Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava have stepped back into their shoes of ACP Pradyuman, Daya and Abhijeet, respectively. And if you're wondering how much the iconic trio earns, well, we have the answers to your questions.
According to a report in Daily Jagran, Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman, charges Rs 1 lakh per episode. Given that the show airs on television every Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm, the veteran actor easily makes around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh every month.
Dayanand Shetty, who plays Daya, the muscle of the trio, earns Rs 80,000 per episode. Similarly, his partner Aditya Srivastava, aka Senior Inspector Abhijeet, makes Rs 70,000 per episode.
CID was relaunched earlier this year after a hiatus of six years, and along with TV, the show simulataneously streams on Netflix as well. Besides Shivaji, Dayanand and Aditya, other actors including Narendra Gupta, Shraddha Musale, Janvi Chheda and Ajay Nagrath also marked their return in this season.
The new season of CID also saw some major shake-up as veteran actor Tigmanshu Dhulia joined the show as the main antagonist, Barbosa. Not just that, but actor Parth Samthaan had come on board CID 2 for a brief role of ACP Ayushmaan, and while the actor was initially trolled, he became a fan-favourite within no time. His stint on the show ended within a few episodes itself.
Recently, reports claimed that CID 2 is soon set to go off air, making space for Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati. No official announcement about the same has been made yet.
