Television actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee hit back at a Pakistani user on X (formerly Twitter) after he suggested that she leave her Muslim husband, Shanawaz Shaikh, amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. It all started when the user, who was once her fan, criticized her for "spreading hatred" and suggested that Indian producers offer her some work.
Slamming the Pakistani user, Devoleena said, "Hahaha…ab inko fikar hai mere kaam ki..jinki khudka koi bharosa nahi…Arey jakar apna desh aur terror camps sambhal. 2 din mein teri army international funds se bheeg maangne pe agayee hai..meri pati ki fikar mein apna khoon mat jala itna..Jo terrorists paal rakhe hai apne desh mein unko bharat sarkar k hawale kar de…bechare pareshan hogaye hai mujhse."
"Hahaha… now they are concerned about my work, when they themselves have no trust in their own. Go take care of your country and terror camps. In just two days, your army is out begging for international funds. Don't burn your blood over my husband. The terrorists you have sheltered in your country, hand them over to the Indian government... the poor people are troubled by me.)

Devoleena tied the knot with Shanawaz, a gym trainer, in December 2022. The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya welcomed her baby boy on December 18, 2024.
