Tamil Nadu NMMS 2025: Registration Starts For Scholarship Exam; Check Eligibility & Exam Details

The test will include Mental Ability and Scholastic Ability sections based on the Class 7-8 syllabus.

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has started issuing registration forms for the Tamil Nadu National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (TN NMMS) Examination 2024-2025. These forms are available on the official website, apply1.tndge.org.

The TN NMMS exam will take place on February 22, 2025. Students who qualify will receive a scholarship of Rs 12,000 annually. The registration fee is Rs 50.

This scholarship exam is open to Class 8 students enrolled in government or government-aided schools in Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu NMMS 2025: Eligibility & Exam Details

Students must be enrolled in state government, government-aided, or local body schools. Additionally, the student's family income must be below Rs 3,50,000.

The Tamil Nadu NMMS 2024 exam paper will be based on the syllabus for classes 7 and 8. The NMMS 2023-24 will be separated into two tests: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

Each test will include 90 multiple-choice questions. Each paper has a duration of 90 minutes. The mental ability test will assess students' nonverbal and vocal metacognitive abilities, such as reasoning and critical thinking. The SAT will assess candidates' understanding of science, social studies, and mathematics.
