SSC JE 2025: Salary details

SSC JE (Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer) pay is determined by the 7th Pay Commission's Level-6. Here are the specifics:

1. Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month

2. Basic Pay (Initial): Rs. 35,400 (starting basic pay)

3. In-hand salary: Rs. 44,000 to Rs. 52,000 per month

4. Dearness Allowance (DA): around 50% of basic pay

5. House Rent Allowance (HRA): 9%, 18%, or 27% of basic pay, depending on the city (Class Z, Y, or X cities, respectively)

6. Travel Allowance (TA): As per government norms

SSC JE Registration 2025: Application fees

The application fee is ₹100. Women candidates, applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen who qualify for reservation are excused from paying the application fee.

SSC JE 2025: Exam pattern

The SSC JE 2025 Exam will be divided into two papers. Paper 1 will be worth 200 marks, whereas Paper 2 will be worth 300. Both papers 1 and 2 contain multiple-choice questions. In paper 1, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect question attempted by an applicant, while paper 2 will have a negative grading of 1 mark.
