Students are once again expressing their concerns on social media and requesting that authorities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to postpone the NEET UG exam, which is set to take place on July 17. Students are asking for the NEET UG exam to be postponed for 40 days only with about 19 days remaining until the medical entrance exam for undergrads.

The hashtag #modijiextendneetug is trending on Twitter today, with over 2 million tweets. Students are concerned since the NEET UG 2021 counselling, which concluded in March 2022. Other entrance exams, such as the CUET, which will be held on July 15–16 and July 19–20, are also close by the entrance exam. The JEE Main July session is planned for July 21–30 as well.

Neeraj Kundan, the national president of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), has written to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan requesting that NEET UG 2022 be postponed. The national head of NSUI said that the NEET UG 2022 examination process shouldn't begin or end "in a hurry"

Various students unions are highlighting the issues and writing letters to the concerned authorities. Student Activist Himanshu Borah wrote in his tweet, "I hope that Honarable PM & Education Minister inclination towards our future doctors will bring positive results for aspirants soon. 40 days postponement is justified & it should be declared immediately."
