Mumbai, August 23, 2026: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has officially published the seat matrix for Round II of the 5-Year Integrated LL.B. Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for the 2026–27 academic year, following the conclusion of Round I reporting on August 22, 2026.

Alongside the vacant seat figures, state authorities released critical compliance guidelines governing the "Betterment Option" to prevent candidates from losing earlier allocations inadvertently.

Round II Schedule

According to the official schedule, candidates seeking admission or upgrades in Round II can fill out and submit their college option forms starting August 23 through August 26.

The CET Cell will officially declare the seat allocations for CAP Round II on August 28 at 5.00 pm, giving selected students a four-day window from August 29 to September 1 to report to their assigned institutes and secure their seats.

Betterment Option Guidelines

To address student confusion regarding upgraded allotments, the admission body issued a detailed public notice detailing how preference changes impact previous allocations.

Under the updated guidelines, candidates who opt for betterment and reorder their college preferences will automatically lose their Round I seat if assigned a new college under the revised sequence.

Conversely, students who maintain their original choice order will safely retain their Round I allotment in the event that higher-preference options remain unavailable. Candidates may submit any preference of their choice regardless of the initial vacancies displayed.
