JNU PhD Admissions 2025: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has extended the last date to apply online for PhD admissions for the 2025–26 academic year. Aspirants now have until July 28, 2025, to apply for one of three qualifying modes: NET (UGC-CSIR), Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or GATE. The GATE mode is limited to candidates applying for the School of Engineering.

Candidates are needed to apply in the appropriate category and have to make multiple applications if they are applying through more than one channel. Being eligible depends upon possessing valid credentials like a JRF award, qualifying NET percentile, or a valid GATE score in a particular subject. Possessing academic credentials or entering scores alone will not meet the requirements for admission.
The process is entirely online, and offline entries will not be entertained. Up to three courses of study, in order of preference, can be chosen by candidates in one application. Candidates possessing a valid JRF, however, can also apply in the NET category if they wish.
