The BPSC 70th Prelims Exam 2024 will be held on December 13, 2024 by the Bihar Public Service Commission. In 36 districts throughout the state, 912 exam centres will host the Bihar CCE preliminary exam in a single shift from 12 to 2 p.m.
The commission opened 1,957 positions at first, however this number was later raised to 2,035 positions.
It is anticipated that 7-8 lakh candidates will sit for the preliminary exam. The BPSC has decided to spread out the exam over two days due to the massive volume of applications. On December 13 and 14, 2024, the test will be administered.
Guidelines for the exam:
Those who plan to take the preliminary exam must arrive at the testing centre by 9:30 a.m.
Only until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the exam's start time, will candidates be permitted entry into the testing facility.
It is forbidden to bring or use electronic devices like as smartphones, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi devices, electronic pens, pagers, smart watches, etc. on the exam centre grounds where the test will take place.
Any candidate detected in the exam room in possession of electronic devices will be deemed to have engaged in misbehaviour.
Markers, white fluid, blades, and erasers are not allowed in the exam room. If they are used on the OMR Answer Sheet, a penalty of 1/3 (one third) of the possible points will be taken away.
The candidate will be barred from the Bihar Public Service Commission for the following five years, including this exam, if they are caught engaging in malpractice or using electronic materials in the exam room.
They will also be prohibited from spreading false or sensational rumours about the test for three years.
Under the Bihar Examination Conducting Act of 1981, applicants who are found to have engaged in misconduct during the examination would face penal measures.
Exam pattern:
There will be a preliminary exam and a main exam for the BPSC 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024. The two-hour preliminary exam will include objective-style questions with a 150 maximum score. A grade deduction will be applied for inaccurate responses. The main exam will be open to candidates who pass the preliminary exam.
