Kaamya Karthikeyan, a 17-year-old Class 12 student from Mumbai's Navy Children School, has made history as the youngest woman in the world to summit the highest peaks on all seven continents.

Her journey includes climbs of Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Mount Denali (North America), Mount Everest (Asia), and most recently, Mount Vinson in Antarctica.

Kaamya completed the Seven Summits Challenge on December 24 at 5:20 PM Chilean Standard Time, reaching the peak of Mount Vinson alongside her father, Commander S. Karthikeyan.

The Indian Navy congratulated Kaamya for this historic achievement, sharing the news on its official X handle (@SpokespersonNavy), stating, "Kaamya Karthikeyan, a Class XII student from @IN_NCS Mumbai, makes history as the youngest female in the world to climb the seven highest peaks across seven continents."

Her school, Navy Children School, expressed immense pride, celebrating her success as "breaking barriers and reaching new heights." Kaamya's love for hiking began at the age of seven when she first hiked in Uttarakhand.
